She gained her Master Degree in Marmara University, Institution of Social Sciences “The Comparison of Murakkas in İstanbul University Museum Library in terms of Koltuk Illuminations”; PhD in Fine Art Institute with the thesis “Illumination Art in the Period of Beyazıt II”.
Besides academic studies and works with illumination she also achieved kalemişi (hand-drawn) and paper conservation works. She repaired and illuminated several calligraphy plates of Egyptian calligrapher Seyyid Ibrahim as well.
Her works together with some other artist are published in a book in Egypt and her classical style kalemişi (hand-drawn) designs prepared in different periods of time were used in non-religious building architecture.
She attended several exhibitions both at home and abroad and her works are included in Istanbul Painting Sculpture Museum, Turkish Petrol Foundation, Cartwright Hall Art Gallery / Bradford, England and special collections.
She still serves as an academic member in Marmara University, Faculty of Fine Arts, and Department of Traditional Turkish Handcrafts Division of Miniature.
