The artist began to take calligraphy lessons from Hüseyin Kutlu in 1990 and graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University Department of Traditional Turkish Handcrafts in 1997.

He gained the permission/authorization of sülüs nesih from Hüseyin Kutlu, of illumination from Assistant Proffessor Dündar Tahsin Aykutalp; of talik, divani and celi divani from Proffessor Ali Alparslan in 2002. 

He gave lessons in İSMEK and Istanbul Art Design Center and has been carrying on his studies in his own atelier since 2007.

He can speak English and Arabic.

He has attended to more than 40 group exhibitions.

"These arts may be seen alike at first sight bu they create a divine world which grows in parallel to knowledge and brings intelligence and skills together. I am the follower of Calligrapher Hattat Şevki and Sami Efendi in calligraphy; Herat style in illumination, Herat and Babur styles in miniature."
